New Solar Panel Grants for Solar PV Systems
Up to €2,400 Now Available for Solar Panel installation through SEAI:
- New solar panel grants have been announced by SEAI for installing Photovoltaic solar panel systems on houses built before December 31st 2021. The grants for solar panels are very generous.
- €900 per kW for up to 2kW solar panels, then €300 for up to a further 2kW (total 4kW). No Additional amount after 4kW.
- Up to €2,400 grant support for a 4kW solar panel system with or without a battery.
- Solar panels provided by Solarstream come with a 25 year production warranty so you get free electricity from your solar panel system for decades.
- Help the environment AND reduce household running costs with a Solarstream solar panel.
There are terms and conditions of course required by SEAI:
- You need to be Pre-Approved by SEAI for the solar panel installation before commencing the works, so please contact us and we will guide you through the process and help you get pre-approved. This lasts for an 8 month period.
- Solar panel systems up to 6kW do not require planning but if you want a larger solar panel system, you may wish to consult your local planning authority to see if a larger system can be exempt from planning.
- You will need to pay a BER assessor to carry out a survey and issue a certificate and advisory report after the solar panel installation work is done. However, there is no longer a minimum grade requirement for this.
NEW GRANT AVAILABLE! TAMS Grant Aid Increased Feb 23
The Grant aid rate for solar PV systems is set to increase to 60% for all farmers.
This is a significant increase from TAMS II which is set at 40%.
The Department has announced that solar PV systems will have a separate investment ceiling up to €90,000. Additionally, the scheme sees an increase in the size of available investments from 12kW to 62kW. The scheme will ultimately enable every farmer to generate their own power to help achieve a mre sustainable rural economy, and reduce energy costs on their holdings.
Importantly, Irish farmers who benefited from TAMS II can reapply in full under the new scheme.
